World Championship

Following his major success in circuit racing, Timo Scheider took on one of motorsport’s most spectacular disciplines: the FIA World Rallycross Championship (World RX). His transition from the precision of touring car racing to the uncompromising world of rallycross once again demonstrated his exceptional versatility as a driver.

Rallycross combines asphalt, gravel, jumps, and intense door-to-door racing - a format that demands maximum car control, rapid adaptability, and absolute determination. These were all qualities that had already defined Scheider throughout his DTM career.

In 2015, Timo Scheider made his debut in the FIA World Rallycross Championship and joined the ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport team. Within a very short time, he established himself in a series known for its extreme competitiveness and aggressive racing character.

Despite the completely new demands of the discipline, he quickly found his place among the international elite of rallycross. In particular, his experience in professional vehicle setup and his precise race analysis made him an important development driver within his teams.

Podiums Finishes and International Success

A special chapter in Timo Scheider’s rallycross career was written in 2023: at the FIA World Rallycross Championship round in Cape Town, South Africa, he claimed a widely celebrated final victory, becoming the first - and to date only - German driver in the history of the FIA Rallycross World Championship to do so. In doing so, he once again underlined his extraordinary ability to adapt across very different motorsport disciplines.

On the demanding Killarney International Raceway, Scheider prevailed against a top-class international field and once again demonstrated his strength in changing grip conditions as well as in the intense wheel-to-wheel battles that define rallycross.

His success in Cape Town not only marked a major highlight of his rallycross career, but also showcased the lasting competitiveness of a driver who had already won world titles in circuit racing. It places Timo Scheider among the select group of motorsport drivers who have achieved race victories at the highest FIA level in both classic touring car racing and modern rallycross.
